Self-adhesive labels, also known as self-adhesive label paper, are composed of face paper, coating, adhesive, and backing paper.
Material structure of self-adhesive labels:
1. Coating
Used to change the surface properties of the surface material. Such as improving the surface tension, changing the color, adding a protective layer, etc., so that it can better accept ink and be easy to print. It is precisely because of this coating that the printed self-adhesive paper can be divided into laser and inkjet. For example, our most common self-adhesive paper with a bright surface is generally not suitable for inkjet printers.
2. Facial tissue
The surface paper is the content carrier of the entire self-adhesive label, the back of the surface material is the adhesive, and the front is the coating. Simply put, facial paper is used for printing graphic information and records.
3. Adhesive
The adhesive separates the face material from the silicone-coated liner before the label face liner is removed and the label is affixed to a surface.
4. Backing paper
To protect the label from being stained before use, the backing paper also acts as a support to ensure that the label will not bend or curl during label handling. The common ones are white grid, Lange, and yellow background stickers. The main application areas:
