Self adhesive label material have overflow problem? A case study teaches you to solve.

Problems display:

When ordering self adhesive materials, because of the transportation of extrusion, temperature change, storage conditions, or the quality of the raw material itself is easily lead to material overflow, if not solve this problem, cutting waste paper fracture, paper edge tear or machine adhesive adhesion on the machine guide roller, rules, rubber roller, affect the boot production. As shown in Figure 1.11

The solution used by the general printing factory is to buy the film removal agent, which is actually a kind of spray silicone oil, is a low energy chemical solvent, spray to the end surface of the material to reduce the viscosity of the adhesive, so as to improve the phenomenon of the end surface infiltration. This silicone oil film agent is more expensive, long-term mass use, will not only increase the cost of enterprises, and this chemical spray will pollute the environment, does not meet the requirements of environmental protection. Of course, conditional customers can choose to return goods or exchange goods, too late to return or exchange goods need to take measures according to local conditions to solve.

Because the material end surface infiltration glue will bring harm to the equipment, serious words, will also affect the operation of the machine, how to solve it?

Let's do an experiment first. Put an adhesive label on the lamp lampshade and tear it off, so that the residual part will remain on the surface of the lamp, as shown in Figure 2 (a). Select hot melt adhesive and latex adhesive materials for test respectively, wipe the white shoe oil to the rubber surface, stand for about 20min, and then wipe it with a rag. As a result, all the label residues on the surface of the lampshade are wiped away, as shown in Figure 2 (b). This shows that the shoe oil and adhesive produced chemical reaction, that is to say, the oil in the shoe oil can and adhesive dissolve, make the adhesive dilution, soft, cohesion decline. Therefore, the use of white shoe polish can remove the adhesive or label residue of the object surface.21

According to this principle, we chose a printing plant for the test, and the material of this printing plant also appeared the problem of end-surface glue infiltration, as shown in Figure 3 (a). We configured the oil formula according to the proportion of 80% butter and 20% oil, and evenly applied the surface of the glue with ancient cloth. After about half an hour, the adhesive is softened and diluted, and the equipment can be turned on normally, as shown in Figure 3 (b). It is worth noting that this method only softened the adhesive, the adhesive also exists objectively, so it is necessary to do a good job of the equipment on the paper transport route cleaning work.

This solution not only improves the problem of open-coil adhesion, but also improves the bonding situation between the softened adhesive and the guide roller and the baffle, which facilitates the subsequent cleaning work and can effectively avoid material fracture. Of course, although the edge of the material is contaminated by oil, it will be removed after waste removal and partial cutting, which will not affect the quality of the finished product label. There is no need to worry about this, as shown in Figure 4.
